The Institute of Geography welcomes all new students! A new and exciting phase of your life is about to begin.

Due to the corona pandemic and the associated infection prevention measures, however, the start of your studies and the first semester will be different than usual. Most courses will take place online – if the general conditions allow, there will also be courses in attendance in addition to online teaching. Wherever possible, we would like to give you the opportunity to make contacts and network with other students.

The start into “student life” can be complicated. You don’t know anyone yet, you don’t know where to find which information and how “studying” works in general. In order to provide you with the best possible support for your start in your geography studies, we will hold a welcoming and introductory event on Monday, 12. April 2021, at 10:15 am. You will meet some of your lecturers, receive relevant information on your program and have the opportunity to select and book your courses. There will also be further information on how to participate in the online events.
